Common questions

Are electronic signatures legally binding in South Africa?

Yes. The Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (ECT Act) recognises electronic signatures as legally valid for most agreements. Signature Easy captures the data (identity, intent, IP, timestamp, OTP verification) needed to demonstrate validity if ever challenged.

Does my signatory need to create an account?

No. They click the link, see the document, enter their OTP and ID, type their name and sign. The whole flow takes under a minute on a phone.

Can I sign just one document without signing up?

Yes — that's exactly what Quick Sign is for. Upload, place a box, pay R9, send. We email you the signed copy when it's done.

How is my data protected?

Documents are stored encrypted, served only over HTTPS, and automatically deleted 14 days after the last signature. Signed PDFs are emailed to all parties so everyone keeps their own copy.

What payment methods do you support?

Card payments via Yoco for once-off Quick Sign. Account holders can top up credits and pay R9 per document as they go.

Can multiple people sign the same document?

Yes. Place a box per signatory and each one gets their own secure link. The PDF is finalised and emailed to everyone once the last signature is in.
